The world economic crisis has impacted the people of Belarus. None more so than the elderly and ill that are home-bound. These people do not have access to in-home health care, assisted living or nursing homes. Many live as shut-ins and must rely on the assistance of others.
What We Do
Chesed (grace in Hebrew) In-Home Care (IHC) is a ministry of compassion for hurting Jewish people and others as well. Our team members make regular visits to the elderly, ill and those shut in their homes. They minister the love and comfort of Yeshua and provide for practical needs by preparing meals, shopping, and cleaning homes for those who cannot do such chores on their own. In some cases, for those who are completely disabled, Chesed IHC attends to every detail of life. Many we serve become like family to our team members.
More than 80 elderly Jewish people, including a number of Holocaust Survivors, have been loved into the Kingdom of God through this ministry initiative.
Yeshua has replaced their feelings of abandonment and loneliness with His peace, comfort, and new life. As the Scriptures teach, ”God sets the lonely in families” Psalm 68:6
Our Chesed IHC is currently serving 50 individuals that depend on us to provide them with practical, emotional, and spiritual support.
How You Can Help
- Pray for more laborers for Chesed IHC. The need is great and we are determined to meet the need.
- This ministry is very demanding, both physically and spiritually on our workers. Pray for their strength and patience.
- Pray that the hearts of the people we serve would be open to the Lord; as many of them are close to passing from this world.
