Imagine a generation of young people passionately following after the Lord, and burning with a vision to win their generation to Yeshua, no matter what the cost!
As you know millions of people believe in Yeshua. The question is how many are truly willing to take up their cross daily, give up their own dreams and follow His dreams for their lives? How many are willing to make the sacrifices Yeshua requires in order to truly follow Him day after day. It is important to emphasize here that we are not simply talking about being a good person, we are talking about being a sold out follower of Yeshua.
Then He called the crowd, along with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wants to follow after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and keep following Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.” Mark 8:34, 35
The call to this generation and the coming generations of Messianic talmidim (disciples) is: Carry His Heart and Take up Your Cross! Lose your life for Yeshua and the gospel, and you will truly find your life!
Yeshua came to earth to redeem the lost sheep of the house of Israel and the lost of the nations. He was moved by compassion for those who did not know the love and truth of the God of Israel. Left the perfect beauty of heaven and came to our broken, sinful world. Misunderstood, falsely accused, mocked, beaten and murdered. What a price! He paid it willingly!
In the Book of Acts we see the talmidim (disciples-followers) of Yeshua took hold of God’s grace, were filled with His Ruach, and carried the same compassionate heart, and the same burden for the lost, impoverished and oppressed that our Lord demonstrated. Indeed, this Yeshua ignited love in His sincere followers influenced everything about who they were and how they lived!
So we have come to know and trust in the love that God has for us. God is love. Now whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. In this way, love is made perfect among us, so that we should have boldness on the Day of Judgment. For just as He is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear. 1 John 4:16-18
When the 1st century Jewish talmidim were threatened and endangered they did not pray for protection or seek after self-preservation. They prayed like this: And now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant Your servants to speak Your word with utmost courage— 30 while You stretch out Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy Servant Yeshua.”Acts 4:38,39
The 1st century talmidim were no different from you or me. They were “jars of clay”, as you and I are “jars of clay”. They had the same fears, insecurities and weaknesses.
But we have this treasure in jars of clay, so that the surpassing greatness of the power may be from God and not from ourselves. 2 Corinthians 4:7
My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
Can you picture it?
A modern day spiritual army of radical followers of Yeshua! Young people, who are dying daily to connect with Yeshua and sold out to His Kingdom purposes. Living out their lives as servants knowing it is more blessed to give than receive. Filled with His Spirit, committed to Biblical holiness, prayer and fasting. Motivated by His love, filled with His joy, and ministering with “utmost courage” and a godly sense of urgency to see their generation come into a saving relationship with the Messiah of Israel.
Young people willing to pay any price Yeshua puts before them. They are imitators of Yeshua, servants of the Messiah. (see Ephesians 5:1,2). In every situation they ask themselves, “What would Yeshua do?” “For just as He is, so also are we in this world.”
I believe God is preparing a BIG harvest of Jewish people for the NOW and NEXT generations. A Book of Acts repeat! It’s promised and prophesied in the Scriptures.
I see it coming…
…More talmidim are joining in. It’s gaining momentum. By His grace, I’m seeking to do my part. I’m praying it comes soon.
For His glory, and for making disciples of the people of Israel and the nations,
